3D Printing Club thanks the NHS
Several pupils in year 9 have formed a 3D printing group using a 3D printer loaned to us by Renishaw Engineering.
The pupils have worked after school with Mrs Clough and Mr Ratcliff as part of the Science and Technology Area of Learning and learned about CAD (computer aided design) and used online software to create items. They have really enjoyed using this new technology, discovering the limits of what is printable and seeing their designs come to life. The pupils' chosen project was to design and produce thank you gifts for the staff working in the vaccination centre in the Leisure centre attached to our school. They attended after school to create their designs and put them together by the end of term. We are so proud of their hard work and efforts and hope the vaccination centre staff enjoy their gifts.
